Now that I've got my CAR assembled, I think one of the single point slings is next. What's everyone's favorites?

Well there are many different sling plates from places like GG&G, GRSC, knight, DPMS, Daniel Defence etc. I use the GG&G plates from gggaz.com. I use the ring model. Some people have mentioned that the GG&G plates that are the slot model have the slot higher than some other manufactures and some people like it as it keeps the rifle positioned better, other people don't care for it as it more likely to interfere with the charging handle. I use a loop type attachment as I like being able to take the sling of and on easy as well the feel of there be a "joint" of flex point between. I get my single point slings from grsc.com.

The GGG adapter plate is a real bitch for RH shooters. It is high enough that youwill almost always snag your fingers or fingernails on it as you drag the charging handle aft. Sux.

Surprisingly, FAC has a nice adapter. Large ring for single-point attachment, but well below the CH plane. Unfortunately, noe for carbines IIRC. Might check out the site.

CQB Solutions at www.cqbsolutions.com/ has nice single point slings.

I also heartily recommend Tactical Tailor. Great bunch, real-world 'got the T-shirt' bunch.

I just got my three point sling from Brownells. It's a CQB Solutions sling. I also have a drop leg 2 mag pouch from CQB Solutions. TOP NOTCH CRAFTSMANSHIP! I HIGHLY recommend their products.

The three point sling has the QD and is adjustable. I'd like to get the 'Sling Thing' from CQB Sol. too. At least the rear one.

I LOVE the setup. The sling is heavy nylon, that is pretty slick, so it slides over your shoulders with little effort.

CQB Solutions is working on drop leg tactical pistol holsters... and I'm definitely going to try to get one of those ASAP.

My M4gery is so sweet... it's like my 1911. (see my sig line)
