A kind fella donated this ammunition to the channel and stated if I could not shoot .5inch groups or less with my rifles and this ammunition. I needed to throw the rifle in the lake or spend more time behind the trigger. So I decided to test this lot of ammo across 5 different rifles. The friendly claim was that he could do this in every rifle he owned and one was a lever action with iron sights. Let's put it to the test.

Thank you for your time.

Respectable enough groups from that ammo.
If you don't mind...What are some of the better groups / ammo's those rifles prefer ?

Have you tried it in a semi auto ?

Again thank you for sharing.

I shot rimfire benchrest for a number of years, never was in the top levels but had a lot of fun. One thing about rimfire ammo is that what works well in a dozen rifles may perform poorly in another. When Federal was the big dog among bench shooters there was a lot number that worked great for many shooters in the sport but, that lot number performed extremely poorly in my rifle. It just wasn't just my rifle, there were a others that had the same results. To say that a certain ammo will shoot great in your rifle and if it doesn't it's the gun's fault is a fallacy. Rimfire rifles are extremely finicky about the brand, lot number of ammo and the velocity of the ammo.

I just picket up a box of that ammo (along with some of the Standard+) to try in my 10/22 with a 20-inch Clerke bull barrel. I will be interested to see if the flat point will feed in my semi-auto. That barrel likes Wolf Match about and good as any but I can't find any anywhere. A LGS carries a good supply of SK ammo so I am hopeful one of those two will work for me. Thanks for the review.

Wolf IS SK ammo. My SK Standard + is exactly the same thing as my Wolf match. It’s more or less Lapua components and VV powder assembled in Germany. Get some SK Std+ and see for yourself.
I haven’t seen any Wolf match in years, except on my shelf, only have 3 cartons left. Bought the last two cartons Cabela’s had several years ago on sale for just under $40 each. Not sure it’s marketed as Wolf anymore. Last Std+ was right at $55 and that’s been a few years back too.

Good info, thanks. I bought a box of Standard+ and Flat Nose Match to try. If the Standard+ is the old Wolf Match it should like my gun. That would be excellent.

Looks like you have several rifle to “throw in the river.” I’m sure some folks here can save you the time and just take them off your hands.... ya know, as fellow shooters and all. :D

Man best stuff I can get is cci greentag lol.
I guess I should probably get one of the shops to order me a case of something "better" tho that's probably a crapshoot.

I'm pretty sure you and the rifles are good lol, the ammo actually looks like it does pretty well too. I've found that a slight change in body position can effect how well I can keep the shots in the same group with a .22.

Both of these groups are 10rnds, but I had to break position to reload the 5round mag, both fliers are first shot from the second mag.
I tend to do that when shooting larger than magazine count groups from my bigger rifles as well, tho with less obvious deviation.

This 5 shot is just a change in poa to the other side of the paper, shooting prone of a pod. When I switched to the lower right I put like 3 out of the diamond.
