What's the range and explosive capacity of one of those compared to a hand grenade?

SodaPop, I"m sure it varies from one variant to another, but the basic point is to be able to heave more bang, and farther, than an infantryman can throw by hand.
But I don't think you're going to last long shooting that thing from the hip. IIRC, standard practice is to put the butt against something solid. That ain't exactly an M-79, y'know.

My launcher sight has two ranges at the top. One is 240 (meters I assume) and 150. From what I gather their soldiers could fire both HE grenades and HEAT rounds. I assume the HEAT was shorter ranged.

Additional note--the recoil of launching a nade is almost 19 times greater than a normal round!!
