So I want to put a sling and a light on my 590a1. As you may know, I have the MAX100 extension on. So I'm guessing I need a front and rear sling point. I'm also thinking the best way to avoid putting stress on the extension without using a clamp (there isn't a clamp made I've seen that is designed to work with the heavy barrel and the MAX100 extension) would be to find a sling point that attaches under the extension and stays firm with the pressure of the extension threading on to the tube, and a rear one thats like a stock spacer. for the light, I would think any non-stressed clamp, hopefully the CDM (candewwwman are you heeere?) would work as it's just going to be holding a Streamlight NF-2 on a rail out to the side.
assuming I go this route, and the fact that I'm right handed/right eye dominant (i field carry on my right shoulder), can someone link me to a picture of sling useage tactics for this set up and or products that will fit the bill? all I really want is reliable and durable weapon retention, it shouldn't be rocket science but it kinda is seeming like it with this equipment to be honest.
it's of utmost importance that it doesnt present undue pressure on the extension. I'd go the clamp route of course if I knew it'd reinforce and not DE-inforce the barrel and clamp, but they seem to mostly be designed for smaller diameter barrels which could cause headaches. I get this out of the way and I'll have my ideal shotgun, plain and simple.
