Hello All...
I noticed that most of the information I have managed to gather on the elusive SM Sporter 22rf pistol has been posted on this forum, so in the spirit of sharing, I wanted to post a picture of mine:

While the few I have managed to find online all seem to fall outside the "known" serial number sequences, mine does. However, as you can see in the picture, the safety lever is missing, the slide release is broken & the cocking handle has been replaced with a motor coupling. Amazingly though, it still works - you just cannot lock the slide back & I had to add a c-clip onto the end of the safety pin to keep it from falling out. Whoever had it before me had gotten "glue-happy" and practically glued the entire works together. I managed to remove most of it & am currently looking for parts (fat chance, huh?!?). Anyone know of an alternate cocking knob from another manufacturer (like Winchester, Remington, Marlin, etc.) that would fit? I will have to have a "new" safety lever made custom, but since I have a picture, that might not be so hard. Let me know...:)
