small pistol primers (wow)

When things get back to normal, you need to remember the stores that took advantage of the situation and overcharged for componets. Always try to give your business to those who treat customers fairly.

I've got 3000 primers, 1k each of large rifle, small rifle, and small pistol. That covers my 3 calibers, .308, .223, and 9mm. I still need some projectiles and rifle powder (my jug of Titegroup will load around 7000 9mm rounds according to my calculations).

I spent the last year or so trying to stock up a little at a time.I've got primers, bullets, and powder. I got Nobammonated once. He didn't get me the second time.;) If components are kept in a cool, dry place, they'll last for years. When supply returns to normal, buy what you need and a little more. You don't have to break the bank. Remember the Boy Scout motto:" Be Prepared."

I've stocked up on bullets, powder, primers, and some purchased ammo over the past 15 + years or so. I have "enough" to keep me in ammo for a number of years. If we encounter a SHTF situation....arms and ammo may become good barter for things one may need.

I feel its better than holding gold. It's got long-term storage characteristics, portability, and keeps pace with inflation. I'm just looking out for my family and being prudent. I have not bought much lately....but I will add to what I deplete from target shooting. FUN

I had about 15K primers on hand, but didn't want to break into my 'strategic reserves' just yet.
So I was pleasantly surprised to find my LGS had primers today. (MN) I bought some Tula SPP's for $25/1000. They also had Fed LPP's, Rem primers of all flavors, CCI LRP's, some Win's.
We don't seem to be doing a very good job of panicking or hoarding this time.

Most shooters seem quite sure that this situation will soon blow over and everything will just go back to business as usual. If we don't get active and recruit a whole lot more NRA members, those primers (and all your guns) will become history.

On the first day of the 113th Congress, 8 new anti-gun bills were just introduced. Keep in mind that although there are a lot of gun owners in America, we are an extremely small minority of our population. Let's get involved, and try to educate all the liberals you can.

With taxes coming due shortly, companies are inventorying and getting ready to restock.
We'll see what the real situation is after they restock.
