small primer pocket depth

My rcbs small primer pocket uniformer cuts the pocket to a depth of .125 is this the correct depth?

.117 to .123 is flush, then a little deeper pocket is required to seat below top of case head? .125 depth is okay then?

Yes, as Walkalong posted, you got it.

I normally aim to seat my primers .004" below flush but tested to .008" below flush and all went bang without issues.

As SAAMI recommended primer seating depth from flush to .008" below flush, seat those primers deep and hard to set the anvil tip against the priming compound.
