I've noticed my Victory will really only reliably cycle with premium ammo, and does not like the bulk stuff. Doesn't matter which bulk brand I've tried there are cycling issues. I ran CCI through it and it's perfect.

Anyone else have this on theirs? I'm guessing it's because of it being a pistol platform that premium is recommended? My 10/22 I had to switch out the extractor to get it to shoot bulk ammo no problem, has anyone done this in the victory with success?

btw, with CCI ammo and a Victory, you will think you are missing, but then you realize it's that groups are so tight they are all dancing in the same hole!

The CCI Blazer is some of the best "cheap" 22 ammo there is. I used it in Bullseye and it hung in there with a lot of match ammo.

The other options are to drip some oil on the rounds in the magazine. The are slicker and extract better, trick I learned shooting Bullseye

My only picky .22 auto is my Bersa Thunder 22. I've shot the victory many times with a suppressor and without and have never had an issue.

my victory usually shoots fed automatch and usually has no problem cycling it. tbere were some stovepipes earlier when it was newer and extraction issues the first range day that was fixed with lube and wiggling the extractor.

This is a good "problem" to have!

I have yet to have a .22 pistol or rifle that didn't run fine and have solid accuracy with CCI MiniMags.

I have never heard that before but it does sort of explain why I get such great results with Wolf Match Target ammo. Every bullet is coated with some sort of light lubricant that makes them rather slick and makes feeding and extraction trouble-free and consistent.

CCI (especially the 22LR standard velocity)does have a well deserved reputation for being very reliable and accurate in most firearms. Our club uses it exclusively for NRA Bullseye and it will more than hold it's own. Very close to Wolf Match Target and even Lapua CenterX in my guns.

IMHO, most "bulk" 22LR ammo is iffy at best for reliability and accuracy, but it's usually because it didn't meet the normal specs. when it was made, because of mfg. problems, etc. Every once in a while you'll run across a particular lot # of bulk ammo that is exceptional, and I've heard that it's a common practice to just substitute better grade ammo for bulk, when the expensive labeled inventory isn't moving fast enough. Kinda neat to find some Green Tag in your next lot of Auto-Match, but I'm not holding my breath.

As far as bulk stuff goes, try some Dynapoint GT if you can find it. I got some at Dicks, before .22LR just stopped existing in my town.
In my guns--maybe not yours, most, or even many--it shoots better than Wolf match and cycles just as well as anything else. To be fair it's an exceedingly rare round that doesn't work them, and maybe I'm just accustomed and adjusted to something other than the match ammo, but it surprised the heck out of me.
Give it a shot. Maybe you'll be lucky like me. If not, can always share it around.
