media have no idea what they are talking about:uhoh:.
potentially lethal airsoft guns is a favorite in the uk
the only way they are potentially lethal is the police might shoot you or I will pound you into the ground if you shoot at me for fun git:fire:

they actually arranged a buyback of cheap airsoft bb guns on my housing estate as police got tired of reacting to calls about teenagers with guns . somebody points a airsoft glock at you looks just as plastic and nasty as a real one

I have a friend that use to be an "Airsoft Sniper". He had a G36 "Compact" with a 2 foot long silencer on it (that he took off of his "sniper MP5"), that he used as his "sniper rifle". I used to laugh SOO hard at him, and I started asking if he had his "sniper 1911" with him, or his "sniper Remington 870". It was so silly because basically a sniper is someone that shoots fro ma hidden location. Well, duh, that's kind of what EVERYONE is doing when playing airsoft. I get such a laugh out of the misuse of the term "sniper".

Technically, if I stab you fro ma hidden location, does that mean I am in possesion of a "sniper Benchmade"? Or is there some distance required to be labelled a sniper?

Do you all remember the D.C. 'sniper'? Had an M-4 with a red dot sight. When I found out, it made me worry that people so stupid could get away with that sort of thing. The training the kid got was apparently pretty good though. Also, a .22lr can be a very effective sniping tool, just ask the Spetsnaz.

so my Marlin .22lr with the $39.00 Tasco scope ISN'T a sniper rifle.....she'll be so disappointed :)

I had a Pumpmaster pellet rifle that came with a scope.
Guess I was training to be a sniper at an early age.
