"Sniper" scope for an M44 Mosin carbine

Can anyone recommend a decent (i.e. non-fogging, with coated lenses) yet authentic-looking scope for an M44? Something along the lines of PU or PSO scope, that type of mount and overall appearance. I found one PU for sale for about $300 but that's a bit much and I am not as interested finding the original as in finding a functional equivalent.

Try calling the folks at IO (InterOrdnance), I believe they are selling one of those M44 sniper carbine, maybe they can sell the scope separately or one that closely resembles the m44 sniper scope.

There's guy on eBay from Poland that sells PU scopes from time to time for around $150 plus or minus. I just missed one about a month ago. It was like 99% condition and only had one bid on it.

I actually do not want the original PU, but SVD PSO scope or similar would be fine. I noticed that all Russian sniper rifles use turned down bolt, so a forward mount would be needed...there's a brass mount which replaces the rear iron sight, but I hoped to find a way to keep that intact.
