I looked to get some parts from High Standard as I found them to be an EXCELLENT source of odd and seemingly unavailable parts a year or so back - Like that queer little extractor for my DuraMatic .22 among others.

Seems they are no more. Is that the case?

Does anyone know if their inventory has changed hands since bankruptcy filing?

RC woulda known - sure do miss him on here.

I knew High Standard had gone away. I didn't know they had come back. Were they selling complete guns or just parts?

I bought a Sharpshooter .22 LR more than thirty years ago. It's a delight to shoot. The Sharpshooter was the bottom model of the four High Standard made at the time. The S&W model 41 was everyone's dream gun but I wasn't (and still am not) a good enough shooter to justify its higher price.

They were selling complete firearms of their own design and bought-designs like the AMT .45 Back Up which they tweaked a bit.

The BIG score was prowling their parts pages and finding new parts that other manufacturers had given up on long ago. It was a real treasure-trove of oddities. I hope they re-surface. The customer service of the revived version was exceptional in my opinion. Forged 1911 barrels, GI Carbine parts, JC Higgins, et al parts that were just a tad off of the original manufacturers' parts.
