So I've decided to appendix carry . . .

The PT sadists are doing a good job with my left shoulder. I was able to get my belt through the back loop without my wife's help this morning. I'll still carry my mag up front for the time being.

I carry a 3" Colt 1911 in 45acp with a Vedder LightTuck holster appendix carry , drawing and reholstering when done correctly is safer then any OWB or IWB carry from 2 to 10 position . What is dangerous is SOB . Will make you easy Pickens also.

It makes me nervous, so no I won't carry there. But train and you should quite safe.

If I carried a 1911 I would, but I carry a Glock and don't. That is me and is related to my training, which is limited, so my comfort level isn't there yet.

I’ll appendox carry my revolvers or occasionally my LC9s with manual safety. No more glock 26 appendix for me, even with the tau development thingy that is supposed to help avoid accidental trigger pull during holstering.

Unclip holster. Safely holster weapon. Reclip holster. Move on with life.

As noted before, 4 oclock holstering still sweeps a good chunk of your back, possibly spine and, yes, even the femoral if your leg is back or you are seated.

Personally I carry at 2 oclock with a forward cant so my barrel is pointed off my hip, but that's for comfort and concealability, I have no worry occasionally appendix carrying my 26.

And, hey, if you have a longer barrel/holster the gun sits alongside your tackle and points at the ground only. Unless you are hung like a horse ;)

There is a place in this discussion for traditional Double Action autoloaders.
