Nooooo,

Not 'AT' Skunky, 'WITH' him! :D I thought it might be fun to hold a get together for tactical shooters as a send off for when Skunkabilly escapes back to free America. Perhaps some pistol action shooting, black rifle drool-a-thon and a banjo jam?

Anybody interested, and know of such a range convenient to both Orange Co. and LA shooters? I'm gonna check Raahauge in Norco, as EOT is coming up. Let's have some tactibilly fun. :)

Mauserlady,

Contrary to popular belief; "Tacticalness" is a state of mind; not the cost of accessories on your guns.

You are very tactical in my book!

Raahague's is right down the road from my parent's house (Chino Hills), so it's good if the date is good. Classes resume Monday, so the first few weeks are usually good. Next weekend is a double header: AMA racing at Fontana and a RC convention in Anaheim.

If it's not the first weekend in May, I will break out the black rifles and the .50. How big is the range at Raahague's and where is it? We could also do Lytle Creek or Angeles Range if it's better for all.

If it was in mid July I would love to join you guys.

Missed hooking up with Skunk when he was here .

Guess Id have to come empty handed though. Dont think I can bring my goods from Az without rolling the dice so to speak with the lawmen. Unless you guys know something that I dont .

Thanks Braz and TB, except one minor detail... Those RC's are hubby and BIL's.. I like power tools, not crazy things that can crash and cost LOTS to repair... :D

:) M'Lady,

I'd hoped the Skunkster would reply, but he may be busy. I'll post to 'em about it and see if he wants to meet up. You have not laughed properly until you see me in tactical gear! :D

I am up in the Bakersfield area, but would be interested. That is also an option. 5 dogs up here is plenty big and the owner is very pro-2nd Amendment. He doesn't care what you bring and you can shoot at any squirrels out to 600 yards that you see.

If it is on the "other side of the hill" I would be intersted if I had enough warning.

Hey y'all. I haven't gotten the job yet so don't hold your breath.

How about a steel shoot like the one in my music video? They have them on the 1st and 3rd sundays of the month, I may bring my shotgun instead.

Cool,

Skunkabilly, no problem. We have faith in your ability to escape! :) I'd just like to get together for some pics and videos anytime before you go. Your self depricating humor is a high spot on THR. 'Sides, I need a chance to wear my new 'green jeans'. ;)

Angeles is a very nice range, and offers the chance to check out our black rifles to 700 yds. A highlight would be 50 Shooter's big dawg, and he might even allow the brave to try a shot. (KABOOM) They're something special to watch in action.

But my vote would be for Raahague's action pistol range, if they also have a place for us to try our rifles. I'm gonna check it out. I have an Glock rig that folks can use to give 'er a try. It should be good fun to roar at my attempts to defeat the cardboard army!

D6, MLady, 10ring, Lennyjoe, El Rojo and K-man, thanks for jumping on. I'll get the schedule of events and info for Raahague,Piru and Angeles to post. If one looks good to ya, we can close in on a date that's convenient for all. Now I only have to learn Deliverance on my guitar! ;)

Something to think about Braz is where we do our monthly shoots out here in the desert... Might be the most central location for those of you down south of me and would be less of a drive for El Rojo since the place is right outside of Rosamond...

Plenty of room for of plenty of shooters. We've had between 20-30 out there and could have handled many, many more...

Here's a link to the map David created for when new people were going us:

Map to Rosamond shooting site

and here's a link to one of the New Years Day shoots that will give y'all an idea of what it's like out there...

New Years Day Shoot

Just another option to think about....

I'm probably hitting the ejection button too soon to make it to the shindig, but let me know when it is, and I'll try.

Hey we don't have to change the venue for me. If Angeles is closest for most, I really want to make it I will sacrifice the drive. It is just fun to have a nice big range with targets anywere from 100 to about 600 yards to plink at and the occasionally brave squirrel.

A highlight would be 50 Shooter's big dawg, and he might even allow the brave to try a shot.

He loves to share his "big dawg" with the uninitiated. He is also ever patient with us "scaredy cats" that want to try.He also didn't seem to mind when I jumped up, the thrill of what just happened taking over, and gave him a big hug... :D

Now I'm sure he would mind if you guys did that, but I guess that's one of the advantages of being a girl... ;)

Back to the location: Just about anywhere is fine with me. I was just suggesting "our place" as an option... :)

I got a good laugh that day ML, nothing like the look on people's faces after they shoot a .50 for the first time.:D

If you and Dave can make the May shoot, you'll get to see the .50's shooting out to a mile+. Hopefully all the other people can make it out and bring some other fun toys.
