I had stopped by the local pawn shop a week or two ago and noted several Savage 111´s in .30-06 and decided to get one.
But when I left there, I didn´t have a Savage, I had this instead:
Remington 700 ADL in .30-06 (blind mag well, but wood stock, iron sights & factory drilled & tapped) for $225. 1982 production if I read the barrel codes correctly.
Finish on the wood is a bit scruffy - itś seen a few hunts - but that´s ok to me. I don´t have to worry about keeping it pretty
Time to get some dies and work up a load
