I am buying a used .32 Winchester Special for my Jeep. It will be a fine general purpose rifle for my needs. I spend alot of time up in the Cascade mountains.

Just this week I started carrying a Rossi .357/.38 copy of the Win. 92 in my truck. It's a great little rifle, too. I showed it to my fiance last night though, so I'm afraid she might very well abduct it from me if given half a chance.

How hard is it to find the .32 Win ammo? I don't have a rifle in this cal, so was just wondering.

Current truck gun is a Marlin lever 30-30. If I'm going camping any where around dangerous critters it gets traded for a Marlin Guide Gun 45/70. Watch-Six

marlin 336 30/30 with xo ghost ring sights.cheap nylon butt cuff to be replaced with a leather one when i get around to ordering one.

a Marlin 444P, short lever action and ohso accurate with a lyman receiver sight. In a soft case- the monsterlab uses it for a head rest in the xtra cab:rolleyes:

Winchester still makes the .32 Winchester Special ammo, so one can order it from any local gunshop.

Be sure to save the brass and reload. :)

You may want to consider a lever carbine chambered in .44-40 WCF or .44 Magnum. You can then get a revolver in the same chambering to match.

Another good choice would be .38-40 WCF.

I often have a Marlin 1894CS 357 mag in the truck. It has a Williams FP peep. Both the wife and I handle it well. It's fast, reliable, PC, accurate and CA legal.
