So, Who Regularly Hunts Past 600 Yards...?!?

Just an observation from my personal experiences.
Most times there IS a rhythm to a way an animal, or group of animals will move, but sometimes there isnt.
If we take sheep as an example they dont tend to stop unless they are actively feeding, if they are they will still keep walking a in little bursts. When they stop after moving head down they will be there for a few seconds, ive seen guys shoot into that pause at pretty long range a few times.
When they get shot at, they will usually immediately start moving, tho not horribly fast. If they are only shot at once, more often than not they will stop on a ridge a couple hundred yards from where they were on the shot.
IF they pause you have plenty of time for another shot if your set up and ready. Ive taken quite a few on that pause after letting one of my hunting buddies take that first shot.
With axis deer head up and watching is when there is a pause. Big bucks dont have a "safe" zone, most other deer Ive seen at will stand and watch you if your farther away than they think you are dangerous.
Goats always have a spotter, If your just meat hunting that ones an easy see, easy shoot, because once its up on its rock i wont move for quite some time.

Were i confident in my ability to hit, the ONLY animal id be willing to shoot at where there were seconds between firing and impact would be the goat. Ive knocked quite a few off their rocks out to 3-400ish yds, and more often than not I sat there for a few mins before firing, trying to decide if I REALLY wanted to walk out and get them.
