I just received an e-mail from Brownells which kinda urged me to vote against em Democrats. Alas, I'm in Canada, the no-gun land. And it reminded me of the situation up here

As some might know, we also just had elections in Canada (yeah our elections last just about a month or so) and thank god the conservative party got elected so what remains of our right to bear arms will remain unchanged. But had they not won (and yet they won with a minority meaning they can get bumped out at any time) there was 3 other major party; one willing to ban handgun, another willing to ban assault weapon and one willing to ban all weapons.

It was a three-way gangbang. So when I look at you guys I think you're luckier; it's almost heads or tails, maybe current polls are giving Barrack Obama the victory for now but hey just like conservative here in canada, republicans don't all have computers to answer these polls And I doubt (at least I hope) He will not try to touch the constitution because bad news for you guys, generally mean bad news for us

Since this will be locked anyway, the name is Barack Obama. It's a proper noun. If you use anything else, then you aren't talking about the same person. Period. We as a community seem to struggle with this. Could be why we keep losing our rights, we're incapable of even writing about them in a post-3rd grade manner.
I don't like the man, but he is who he is, and his name stands on it's own merits, for good or ill.

No Canada extends SOUTH to the 45th... that is BELOW the 49th...

Sorry I didn't mean to harm you, I have multiple guns too including handguns I just said that comparing all the restrictions we have compared to you as for the lattitude, it also extends far more at north I think?

The email I got from Brownells demonstrates this I think. It told me to vote for Gilmore (R) for Senate, not Warner (D), despite the fact that both of them have NRA Ratings of A.

The gun issue is not necessarily an (R) issue.

I do not have any pictures of the Canadian fellow that posted here with his tavor.

I can say that I have held several short barreled rifles and shotguns while in Canada that if said devices were here in the USA would be accompanied by a tax stamp...
