Socom II Accuracy for you haters...

Your right I was trolling...so what? I got tired of posting things about my favorite rifle in my collection (at that time I wasn't trolling just happy about my purchase) and getting negative feedback from people that have probably never even held on, less shot one.

And as we all know, most people make "opinions" and probably have no first hand experience in the matter. AK103K, I don't get offended, and I love out conversations....I just like to prove a point :) (Don't we all?). And again the point is is not "to impress" anyone.

Understand for the millionth time, I am not using it as a long range rifle...obviously if I even attempted to shoot at a CMP match with my Socom I would leave very embarrassed - That's a NO BRAINER DUH....But again, that's not what it is designed for...IT - IS - A - BATTLE - RIFLE....not a sniper rifle, it was designed for close range. And so the hell what if S/A designed it to appeal to tacti-gadget guys? If it's so terrible, then you wouldn't be afraid to stand in front of it at 500 yards then huh? That's what I thought.

So stop trying to compare it to other rifles that were designed for long range. My point of this thread was to simply say that the SOCOM II was not just some expensive "hundred yard" rifle at best. It is an M1A whether you like it or not..PERIOD.

Oh and I wasn't trying to hide the fact that I was "trolling"...that's exactly what I was doing. I proved to myself today that half of the members on here that bad mouth my baby have no freakin' idea what in the hell their talking about. My rifle is like my child..I love it and cherish it so..So is it so wrong for me to defend her at all costs? What kind of gun owner would I be if I did otherwise?:D

That is really something, see if you still feel that way after you turn 19 or so...

AK103K, you have my apologies.

Man what i nice range!..i cant even find a 200 yard range here

Well those are the results i figured on. like my other post was saying, other 16in .308 rifles get praise ...even for accuracy, so why not the socom ?
I havent got to reach out yet but i assume ill have the same results...or close.

Imagine if you put a 1-4 scope and used it with both eyes open..man what a fast rifle!.....i still think i will be change the front sight on mine to at least a standard sight though....

(btw cant we al get along? and stay on gun related post? :)

Were all getting along...kind of...lol. Like I said I don't get offended just find other member's insults amusing ;).

Ok, Ok, I'll start over.....I shot my Socom II at the range today and it far exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed shooting my newbly built Spike's Tactical AR-15 with my newest optic, the Lucid HD7. Both the AR and the optic worked very well together and just as the owner advised, your zero does not shift even when changing reticles on the fly. I love it.

I also hit a target at the farthest distance I have ever shot anything at today with my Garand (700 yards). Overall, very pleasing day at a very nice private range. And the best part is that I got invited back to do it all over again soon! With that being said, is there any suggestions from posters in this thread to try anything different? AK103K? lol....Come on fellas! All in good fun.:D

Its true! You can have it both ways!

"The new SOCOM is both a floor wax and a dessert topping!"

Hey! Was that Chevy Chase?!?! :D

FC...No problem. :)

And yes, again, it is a very nice range. Take all sorts of advantage while you can. ;)

My Saiga 308 would leave that SOCOMII sucking buttermilk. And I have enough left over to buy another one.

needless trolling and insults detract from an otherwise good range day.
