I agree with most have what's been said. I like good conversation but it's annoying when people solely base an argument on personal expereience or one traumatic one. It's frustrating to argue with emotional fueled position.
Welcome to Earth. This place is chock full of masses of voters who hold life-long ideologies based on nothing more than a comment made on one episode of 20/20 or 60 Minutes.
What's wrong is that stupidity is a terminal condition. Dumb people don't grow smarts as they age. They just get older. Just like short people don't one day grow into tall people. It's in the genes. Or it isn't.
Reminds me of a Mark Twain quote:
"No amount of evidence will ever convince a moron."
This might not go along with the anti-gun theme but it goes along with the stupid people theme. I used to work with a lady whos son decided to rob a bank with a weapon (not sure if it was a gun or a knife). After the kid got his money he took off running and a couple of blocks later was tackled by two college football players. The two football players actually sat on the kid until the police arrived to take him away. The kids mother was mad at the two football players for tackling and sitting on her son. She didn't seem to care that he had just robbed a bank.
yall are mixed up. ignorant can be taught out of a person if they are willing. stupid is PERMANENT!! i like the saying by John Wayne "life's tough, its even tougher if you are stupid".
