I guess some Anacondas might have had a timing issue. Never heard much about it. The ones I own have been shot quite a bit and never a problem with them.
Wow when I look at that pistol it brings back memories of Sgt. Preston of the Yukon. This was my idea of what a New Service should look like. This from about 1960 or so:

Waited 6 weeks for his decoder ring & whistle. Watched the mail box everyday.
So that being said, anyone know how well the New Python is selling?? I've only heard it mentioned once up here in Alaska and I'm a gun shop rat.

I wanted to get an Anaconda right after they came out. I hoped it would handle like a Python. I was really disappointed. After handling one I bought a S&W M29 which I still have.
Cobra, Cobra Target, Python... it’s either anaconda or a diamondback that’s next.
As stated earlier throat dimensions for the .45 Colt models were way oversize causing accuracy problems, otherwise I would have gotten one back then. Read about several owners buying custom built cylinders to fix the problem. Hoping a new version would have the correct throat dimensions.hat changed?....Most everybody that wanted one got one. Now prices are falling. Happens to nearly all "hot" collectibles.
The only reason I haven’t bought one the new Colts is because I’m holding out for a new Colt in 44mag. I’ve always wanted a Colt revolver and a 44 mag, sadly I have neither right now but if I can get both in one purchase I’ll jump on it.
lit it doesn’t happen in the next 3ish years, I’ll probably end up a 1917 Colt 45acp, and a 80’s S&W model 29 of some sort.
