in Kruger National Park. The revenge of the elephants.

"The encounter happened April 17 after three people ran from the rangers in Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest game preserves, according to park officials.

Rangers, using dogs and aircraft, captured one of the suspects, who said the three had run into a herd of elephants and he was not sure if one of the others had escaped.

A second person was found trampled and "and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries," rangers said.

A third suspected poacher is believed to have suffered an eye injury but had not been found."

I feel like they may have found an eye ball. How would they know he had an eye injury?

The article said they may have been attempting to poach rhinos. There cannot be many of them left. Are black rhinos extinct in the wild?

Depends on what government official the poachers are working for.

Anything from a menial prison term to being offered a new and better poaching job.
They got caught. That’s an automatic death sentence for life.
If history is an indicator, petite dictators have little patience for bungling henchmen. :D

I’ll bet the last thing the captured poacher said to the eye injury poacher was “keep an eye on the table!”
