Rifle, Pistol or airgun?

I'm looking in NRAs Shooting Sports USA magazine that lists all the sanctioned matches in the US quarterly. Lots of them in South Florida. Just post what you are interested in shooting.

Highpower Rifle in Florida

Google up Port Malabar. They shoot a big regional there. I just don't see them listed this quarter.

Lakeland: 100 yard reduced range. Nov 5, Dec 3 R. Schultz, 2000 Lasso Ln. Lankeland, 33801.

Orlando: 200/300 reduced course. Oct 15 and 22. Nove 19 & 26. 407 625 3204

Several more. Plus lots in other discplines. I think you can shoot lefthanded outdoor running pistol silhouettes if you want.

hi, I also live in south florida and wanted to get into IDPA. I found TSSA, but when I went to sign for their forum to ask If I could join, I never got a response.

Do you just show up?

Jesse

Yes, just show up. The TSSA folks are very welcoming to new members. I shot with them several times and then joined last month. I plan on being there Tuesday night at Markham Park. You can PM me if you need more details.

The guys/ladies with South Florida Pistol Club www.sfpc.org were VERY easy to get along with (unlike many of the other people in south Florida). I moved about a year ago, but they were having weekly and monthly IPSC or IPSC-style shoots. Good folks, not to discount the others mentioned.

Which club is better?

I have looked at the sites for both clubs shooting at Markham.

The Tue/Sat club and the Thurs/Sun SFPC.

Which group is better?

I am interested in staying sharp above and beyond the minimum with Production class weapons since I travel into real world places often.

Qualifiers

I was hoping to obtain some info about the two clubs shooting at Markham. Their sites indicate you need to shoot qualifiers in order to shoot in the events (?) I am interested in participating and am curious if one or the other of the clubs (SFPC or TSSA) was a better club for tactical shooting???

Hi there, I just read the post for the first time. I am a Board member of the South Florida Pistol Club. We shoot every Thru. PM, the first Sunday of the month and we shoot 3 gun on one Tues. a month. Everyone welcome! Qualifiers (actually they are called "Classifiers") are only required for uspsa national classifications. You do not have to be a uspsa member, or a member of our club to shoot with us. You get a price break if you are a member...13 bucks for members 15 for nonmembers (Thur.PM). We are a uspsa affiliated club and shoot action run and gun. I love our club and we make every effort to welcome and mentor new shooters. Please email or im me and I'm happy to give you my phone number and get in contact with anyone wanting to shoot with us.
We're online at sfpc.org
