Ok, it's 2005 bonus time (don't ask, the company takes 4 months to pay out for last year)
After taxes I should get about 4000 to 4500 or so.
It's all going to guns somewhere.
i'm thinking $1000 to ammo/reloader. (cuz ammo only gets more expensive)
So that leaves 3000 to 3500 or so.
The wife wants an AR, but that's too bad, it's my turn to buy.
So, here are my calibers, I'm not interested in changing.
.308, .223, 9mm, 22LR, .357/.38spl, .45ACP, 12ga
There is room for one more rifle/shotgun in the safe and a couple more handguns.

Probably in there, i want an additional 870P-max for the other side of the house (got one for the bedroom, need one for the family room) and of course, that takes no room in the safe. ;) But that can wait too.

Thoughts? Ideas? Could be one gun or many.

I see Jensen's has a Barret 99A1 with scope on sale for 3399. hmmmm. (although i'm not a good shot and it would probably be wasted, it would still be cool)

Oh yeah, one rule, I don't like Rugers, so that's out.

I got's
a couple AR's
CZ527s, .223
CZ550, .308
FALs
M1A
M1 Garand (.308)
lots 'o glocks (9mm) (19, 34, 26)
1911's (although one can never have too many 1911's)
couple Pythons
sig 228
colt diamondback .38spl

Browning semi-auto .22LR
TC classic semi auto 22LR
diamondback 6" 22LR
S & W 17 22LR
kimber 1911 22LR
SIG mosquito
Browning buckmark 22LR (yeah, can't have too many 22LR's)

Browning 525
Beretta silverhawk
winchester model 12 (12 and 20ga)
870P
Lanbeer O/U

I think that's most of it

Definitely need a good .22 rifle. I think another CZ might be a good choice, since you've already got a couple.

How about a precision rifle? Maybe something as cheap as a savage or going a bit further and picking up a remington?

If you shop well, I think you'd still have enough to get the wife a good AR kit. Because a satisfied significant other is hard to put a price tag on. :)

I'd also suggest looking at a few shooting competitions you could get into if you're not into one already. Then spend some of the money on the necessary equipment. High power rifle matches, precision rifle, 3-gun, IDPA....

Does that mean you're going to buy ammo and feed the reloader or that you're thinking of trading for the SL900 already? Those of us (Blue Kool Aid drinkers) following your exploits in the shotgun forum wonder.

Nice budget after the ammo in any event. You might want to call Wild Alaska and just let your imaginiation run wild. One never knows what might result from that.

Or a Blaser F3.

I know you said you don't like Rugers, but you could put together a pretty sweet 10/22 for around a grand.

Or, failing that, how about a JP lower and one of the new CZ .22LR AR uppers and a stack o' mags?

It looks like you are under-representing the Soviet Block. How about an AK, or if your feelling a little presumptuous, a Dragunov. ;)

Remember, variety is the spice of life.

Justin nailed it. :)

Mebbe a F/A of some type?

Maybe one of the "exotics" rifle/carbines coming into the country, like a SiG or P90 (sbr, of course).

Oh yeah, got a CZ452, can't beat that, plus that thompson can really build groups. (I'm at work, can't just check, had to do that from memory)

The CZ's get pretty darn accurate. and honestly, i'm not a good enough shot to be able to do it.

No way, it's my turn. She got the CZ 527 maple stocked .223 (which is very cool BTW), it's my turn. :p

You know, if you've only got room for one more gun in the safe, the smart alec in me wants to just tell you that it's time to buy a second safe.
Yeah, I know, his and hers, but then i would have to fill that one up too. I have to have some limts. :)

9mm 1911?

good thinking, but got one. A STI Trojan 9mm. Thinking of maybe getting a matching STI trojan in .45?

NO way, the MEC is pretty awesome. Was thinking of getting a reloader for other than shotgun shells. Maybe .45ACP or .223??????/ (probalby more likely .45ACP)

keep them coming.

a good large bore revolver wouldnt hurt your collection, a 41mag, 44mag, 460, 454 or any of those if your a recoil junky. SKS's are cheap as dirt, wouldnt hurt to have one (i know you said no new calibers so those are just off the cuff on a whim stuff)

lever action 357 mag would be nice
how bout a storm, or a kel-tec sub 2000, or a marlin camp carbine? all would compliment your pistols well.

TC encore or contender? great fun in 223 and a fun varmit getter if you like that

28 gauge shotgun.

You knew I was going to say that, didn't you? :neener:

Seriously, Dillon RL550B and a set of Dillon .45 dies, .45 brass, few thousand primers, bullets and a keg of W231. Then come to my house and I'll teach you how to use it.

Oh, and bring your shotgun and a few flats of ammo and treat me to a few rounds of Sporting Clays.

Well, you did say spend your bonus, you didn't say to spend it on you though. :D

I have to agree about buying the wife an AR...what's $800 to ensure the domestic tranquility (especially when you'll still have $2500 to play with)

+99999.999. Like the saying goes, "If your wife ain't happy, you soon won't be either.":D

I'd buy a good AK if you can do that where you live. Or how about this:

Get a Mossberg 500 Persuader.
Get a Knoxx SideWinder kit.
Get a Knoxx CopStock.
Let the fun begin.:)

Justin;

Notice that Bozeman's actually in Longmont Colorado. However, the next time he's in Bozeman, he ought to run up to G.F. & at least see the difference between a real safe & an RSC. Just don't spend the bonus 'till after you've seen the 'light' as it were.

:D 900F

Alright, I've got a good one then.

How about a Marlin 1894C in .357? Huh? Eh? Great idea, I know. :D (The suggestion is mostly born from potential vicarious enjoyment because I lust for one so badly!)

Another good choice is one of my 'top ten must own', the Delisle carbine, suppressed. Mmmm....

http://www.valkyriearms.com/delisle.htm

Aint nuthin cooler than that thang, your wife will be forgiving you for not getting that AR in no time!
