I have the opportunity to purchase a slightly used Springfield Armory P19134LP Loaded full size 5" match barrel 9x9MM stainless steel adjustable sight 1911.

The current owner said that it has 200 or less rounds thru it. It comes with the factory case, holster, mag. holder, bore brush, and 3 magazines.

He is currenlty asking $775 for this.

Is this a fair price?

And what is your opinion of this 1911 if you have experience with one?

Thanks!

1911 is a great well balance shooter. You can buy a RIA or American classic ll for $450ish. Just depends on what you are going to use it for.

I just joined my local gun club and plan on shooting in there monthly IPSC matches eventualy.

That's not too far off on price. There's a couple that sold on gunbroker.

One went for $610+$20 shipping. Figure $20 transfer--> $650. Had some scrapes and scuffs, so not perfect.

Another in better shape went for $677+$25 shipping+$20 transfer--> $725ish.

I'd offer $650 initially.

I have a few Springfield "Loaded" models.

All bought used, and the most expensive one i bought was $750 and that was because he had paperwork showing work done my a high end gunsmith.

If you are looking for for a nice 1911 that is 9mm, then the field is very narrow. If you could find a used STI Trojan 9mm, id say its a better buy but they are so loved by owners they don't pop up in the used market often.

Mid range 9m 1911's are pretty rare. you have the low side of $450 for the Rock Island, then only 2-3 guns between $600-$1000 and then plenty to choose from between $1000-$3000.

I am a huge fan of 9mm 1911's, i find that combo as the holy grail of target shooting. I would snag that for $750... I don't think i would spend more than $700 for SS Loaded if it was a .45
