I personally just don't like the straight-pull K31 Swiss rifles I've shot. They are beautifully crafted match-grade rifles. Awesome pieces of machinery. But I can't get past the flinch of pulling the bolt right into my face and hitting my glasses.
I'll take a Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55 (Love my M38), or a German kar-98K in 8mm. The Mauser action was so good that it is still in use today as the FN Patrol Bolt Rifle, the Winchester 70, etc etc.
