Springfield XD Custom Pro

Finally got out the range today for a bit and did some accuracy testing with the .40 caliber XD Custom Pro. This is one tack driving son of a ......... well, whatever.

From a rest at 15 yards I was getting sub 1.5 inch five shot groups. At 25 yards they opened up (?) to 1.675 inches. The trigger is unbelievable and the sights are excellent. I'm hooked.

Now I've got to get one in 9mm for USPSA Production matches. He, he, he............

Hey Krag,
Is that the model with the built up beavertail and textured grip? I saw one on display at the SSC but they just had it in .45 GAP. If they make a 9mm it may be too much for me to pass up. (the trigger on the one I felt was sweet).
Also if you don't mind me prying how much did it set you back?

Faust - yep, that's the one. I didn't buy it but have it on loan to T&E for a couple of magazine articles I'm writing about it.

Sssswwweeeetttest trigger I have felt in a long time! Except for a bit of take it, it breaks as clean as any 1911 I've ever owned.

Those things are as scarce as hens teeth!! I have a pretty nice XD, but I want another one in the worst sort of way.

I shot the XD Custom Pro at a local USPSA match yesterday. Shooting against an array of customized 1911s I took 1st place in L10 Division by a comfortable margin.

Not too bad for a new gun that I've never shot in competition before, eh?
