I was just wondering if any one can answer my question?

I seen a good deal on a Springfield XD in 357 sig, it was used but in excellent shape for less than $350. I already own an XD in 40 cal. I have always been told that you could change the barrels and shoot both calibers out of the same gun with the same magazines. If so then I would be better off with a new barrel instead of a new gun, and could use the money towards a different gun. Any ideas or thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

You could go the Bar-sto barrel route for ~$200 but why not spend another $150 and get another whole pistol?

Personally, if you have an XD-40 why would you want a .357 sig? Why not just get something else. The .40 can do just about the same thing the .357 sig can.

I would get it to just to have another gun. I'll always jump on a good gun deal for any gun. You could also use it for trade bait or sell it for a profit if you decided you didn't want it.

if you already have a xd40 (which is what i have) id just get another barrel. unless you just want to buy another gun. you can get barrels from $140-200

not only can you get a .357sig barrel for the pistol you already have, but you could also get a 9mm conversion barrel. and you would have three guns in one. i plan to go the .357sig barrel route as soon as i get my taxes back. i love the .357sig and don't see any reason to buy a whole other gun.
