As a tenacious aficionado I can say you'll be more than happy with your purchase. The wave isn't worth the money, especially since it can be replicated with a trimmed ziptie in the spyderhole.(I use two because the zip ties stay in one spot better)
The endura is a better knife though and if you have the money, down the road I'd get a flat ground g10 endura, but that's just me. Many people dig the saber grind and frn handle. Had you not said that you were somewhat inexperienced with sharpening I'd say you should have gotten an endura right away. While the Tenacious is a good knife, the Endura is better.
edit: and as mall ninja looking as it is, like mot said, it is exceptionally handy when your hands are full or you're wearing thick gloves. It's also great for speedy deployment with certain knives that don't naturally come out fast. (ie- the tasman salt is somewhat awkward/slow to open compared to an endura or tenacious)
