McGunner, yeah, the Ruger Mark 2 is a fine squirrel pistol.Those Yellow Jackets feed good through it, I know that.
Well anyway, just remember the '49 shoot's high, but it is accurate once you learn to compensate for that. I like it because it make's me think I'm really doing something, plus it's cheap to shoot, plus I reckon if I ever had to I could make my own powder and caps. If I ran out of balls and got in a bind I could always throw a handful of window tacks or some pebbles in the chamber and pack it down!!. Plus I like to eat the squirrels....

Squirrel Gun

I modified my Old Army to accept a scope some 15 years ago. The Old Army can be a serious tack driver for close encounters.

I was hell bent on squeezing as much accuracy out of my stainless Old Army as I could, which eventually lead me to making the Triple P. I have another Ruger that I won't alter, here's a photo. I've considered buying a blued 5 1/2" version and putting the brass trigger guard on it to get a different look altogether.
