SR9 and SR9C

I liked the SR9C I bought 9 years ago (I think) so much, I just bought a new one for $100 less then the first one. It used to have a occasional light strike but I removed the magazine safety and clean the striker channel every couple hundred rounds (easy). I haven't had a light strike since and now have over 11 thousand rounds through it. It has a great trigger and accuracy is good. It also takes the 17 round magazine from the SR9 with the grip adapter. I think it is a great gun for the money

SR9 and security 9 a like ? NO security 9 has a completely different trigger. I have both, and the security 9 stays in the safe personally for accurate shooting I need a pistol with a trigger that has a breaking point, the security 9 doe's not have one. I spent many hundred rounds of ammo trying to get around that but I cannot. That may be just me.

Too many lawyer gadgets for me. I bought one about 10-15 years ago early in my ccw experience and soon realized I didn’t want all those safety add ons. Plus the trigger pin would work it’s way out and Rugers for me have a tendency to rust around the mag button and even slide areas. It did shoot and feel nice though and was right size for ccw

No need to worry a out rust around the mag button on this on, it polymer. Someone else asked if the SRs are similar to the Security 9. I believe the Security 9 is hammer fired while the SRs are striker fired.

Love my SR40. Trigger is fine, safety is small enough it doesn't interfere once off and the loaded chamber indicator has never been a. Issue. Mag disconnect was disconcerting.

The LCI is no big deal in the SR series of guns. I think the SR guns have a great trigger.

The magazine disconnect can be removed in about 5 minutes.
