I am considering this as my first Ar. I am wondering what otheres have to say good and bad on Stag AR's. I am new to the AR scene, but have fallen in love with the platform.

It will be used for pdogs, coyotes, and other varmints. Is it a good choice. I have searched the forums, and cannot find a whole lot on them. Even less on Ar15.com. Thanks for the advice.

I can't comment on this particular rifle, but I do know that Stag Arms is generally considered an excellent manufacturer and their AR parts are held in fairly high regard. I own a Stag upper and lower and am satisfied with their quality.

More fuel for the fire...are their barrels of lesser quality? I believe they are all chrome lined. From what I can tell they are the best bang for the buck, but I still want good quality.

Lessor quality than whose barrels ? Stag manufactures high quality products so why would you think their barrels are not of equal or better quality than any top tier company.

It's still a relatively new rifle from Stag, so you won't hear much. However, given the quality of their other rifles, I would not hesitate to buy one.

I thought I read somewhere that they are not as strong of steel. I believe 4140 instead of 4150.
