Hello all:

I have a stainless steel new model blackhawk 4 5/8" barrel .357 mag.

I am thinking about trading towards a rifle what do you all think is fair asking price.

Gun built 1981
purchased NIB condition
fired approx 400 rounds since purchased mostly .38spl cast
Houge grips and original factory grips
Triple K Keegan crossdraw holster
Original yellow cardboard box and paperwork

I will try and take a few pictures and post tommorrow

Gun is clean with no scratches or cosmetic defects. So what would be fair.

I doubt you will get it on a trade (unless it's to an individual) but I'm thinking around the $400 mark. Maybe a little more , maybe a little less.

I am trading to a individual a fellow THR member. I think the original price was $450 I swapped a 10/22 with a target barrel and aftermarket stock and a $250 cash.

I was thinking $375

Just want to be fair to the other party and to myself.

For some reason Ruger revolvers don't hold a good resale value. I would think a Blackhawk revolver with only 400 rounds fired through it is worth $350 - $375 if it's in top condition. (but I'm no expert, just an opinion)

Are you trading with an individual or a gun shop? Most gun shops will give you 50-60% of retail depnding on condition and type/model. The prices on Ruger SA revolvers seem to be a bit low in my neck of the woods if you can find one that is.
