I've been to a Family Pawn in Warrensburg but never Columbia. I've been to all the other places you mention as well as Target Masters and the Black Rifle. All are uniquely different and I do prefer some over others. I'll be in town later in June and will have to see where you'll be.

We don't really have a gun shop here. Just a couple FFL's who will order stuff. I go through a place called "Competition Specialties". Rick McDowell mostly builds 1911 race guns, but will order stuff for 10%. Bought a lot of guns through there. He's friendly, helpful, and knows his stuff.

Does your employer not "hold" employee accounts; which in turn lets you
purchase the firearm(s) [or equipment] that you want, and he/she "hold
the discounted ticket for 90 days? If not, I would say you are definitely
working for the wrong employer~! Regardless of the amount, my employer
allows us 90 days to "clear accounts"; thats how I buy most of my guns~!
