What gun was that he used? Horrible movie, but at least they got the size of the suppressor correct, instead of the usual 'film cannister' sized one which they usually use.

I love Steven Segal -- and almost rented this movie. Was it really that bad? Any martial arts or just another pathetic attempt at acting?:scrutiny:

Did you know that "Steven Segal" is an "ANTIGUN" man? Check
out NRAs list of anti gunners you may be surprised.:fire:

I didn't think anyone else had actually rented this movie.:D He didn't use 1911, looked like some sort of Sig knockoff to me.
It wasn't a completely Terrible movie, but it did have that annoying music video style cinematography, like in "Behind Enemy Lines". You know, where they speed up the film and blur stuff together. That is very annoying.

Very few scenes demonstrating his Aikido prowess. I suppose that swollen gut that he's grown might be getting in his way. Movie's plot was not only thin, but somewhat difficult to follow. I suppose that the choppy editing of the film may have exacerbated that, however.

Now, the gun was dull matte finished, and looked somewhat like a South African Mamba in profile. The rear of the slide was curved dramatically forward like on a Beretta 92/96. It was SA cocked-and-locked in operation, with huge safety levers ala the Beretta Billenium. The trigger guard was relieved and deeply checkered for a finger-forward grasp, and there was a set of forward grasping serrations on the front of the slide, also. Near as I could tell, it was single-stack, though the one scene with a mag swap makes it hard to discern, even with DVD.

It was on there last week. So, I guess I can start watching his movies again.;) What about that Sean Connery?:fire:

Last I read (somewhere), Seagal's a Life Member of the NRA and has appeared at NRA-sponsored shooting events with other stars.

Until the earlier post above, I hadn't heard anything different, (except that some of his more recent films weren't liked nearly as well as his earlier stuff).

Setting the record straight about Steven Seagal...

Guns & Ammo magazine did a six page article on Steven Seagal in the "Complete Book Of The .45" magazine, 0-8227-3322-6, 1996, pages 78-83, by Paul Hantke.

Seagal is very proficient in the use and mechanics of 1911s. Terry Tussey has indeed built several 1911s for Seagal with Caspian frames. http://www.tusseycustom.com/customers.htm
Seagal prefers to use his personal 1911s in movies. He has also instructed police officers.

Seagal developed his own training and practice program. "Seagal says he tries to keep his handgun skills in tune with this regimen, firing up to 3,000 rounds a month when he has the time and opportunity to do so."

"he is one of the few high-profile celebrities around who is not afraid to be known as a shooter and a gun owner. Seagal clearly doesn't give a rat's flying fanny about how the meek view the "political correctness" of his actions"

"Steven has attended the NRA's Charlton Heston Celebrity Shoot whenever possible, and he is qiuck to stand and be counted with those of us who believe in the Bill of Rights."

Seagal is a NRA Lifetime Member.

Steven Seagal: bad actor...big hunter. He got alot of negative publicity for sponsoring an antelope hunt several years ago, but I admire the fact that he "stood by his guns", so to speak;)

Steven Segal, big .45 fan. Carries 2 custom .45s on him. No longer close to his gunsmith since he was caught freebasing on a set of Segal's movies.

Segal IS a real gun affecionado, great former martial artist.

Not a real "man" since he abuses women, namely his wives, was a polygamist, lived off his Japanese wife until he got a Hollywood contract & then divorced her & abandoned his 2 kids.

Would you guys respect a man who falsely claimed to be a SEAL or Green Beret? Segal built a career feigning CIA/Killer reputation and mobster-killer. Well documented how he folded when extorted by smalltime mobsters. Never stood up and accounted for himself in real life.

I don't think you want to be throwing accusations around unless you have the facts to back them up. It is widely known that Terry Tussey has done some work for Seagal, and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate the accusations.

Damn am I mad by that list of celebrities on the NRA Anti page!!:fire: :fire: :fire: I actually like quite a few and these people are out to violate my rights as a gun owner -- AND MOST HAVE USED GUNS IN FILMS!!!:cuss:
