Steven Seagal's "The Foreigner"

There was a time when Seagal was a shining example of Aikido and cross teaching with other styles.

Never confuse an excellent martial artist with an excellent human being.

And just because older martial artists like Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Chuck Norris and the like have either kept themselves in shape or actually gotten more fit as they age doesn't mean all older martial artists do it.

Afterall, the founder of Aikido looked alarmingly like Yoda in his old age, but nobody could move him if he chose not to move. Yeah, I guess a lot like Yoda.

"Gut matters not. Judge me by my gut do you? And well you should not, for my ally, is the .45.":D

I haven't seen the movie yet, but from the poster it appears to be a newer version of the Polish MAG 95 9mm. Pics below:

Here's an pic of an older model without the front serrations:

That's IT! Thanks!

That makes sense, strangely, as the character's father in the film was a long-standing ambassador to Poland.

No longer close to his gunsmith since he was caught freebasing on a set of Segal's movies.
That's a fairly low rent remark to just throw out. Do you have anything to back it up? Thought not. Is it libel or slander when you make a remark like that in print/public. I always get libel/slander confused.
I didn't use any names did I?
That is a BS cop-out.

I met Terry at the Del Mar show this past weekend, he's real busy; from what I gathered he's still in contact with Segal. If you find a copy of the latest (Mar 2003) G&A, Wiley Clapp has a five page article on two pistols(prototypes?) Tussey did for Kimber. Good article, great gunsmith.

Segal is a pathetic excuse for a man. He epitomizes the smoke and mirrors of Hollywood. In reading about his intimidation by mafia types, and seeing how the POS, (Mr. "I demand respect"), showed his DISRESPECT for the US Senate when he appeard in jeans and some twink chink jacket................. well, I have had it with him. He is in no way a man, and in no way an American.

Just my opinion of course, others may vary in theirs.

Why is the front sight post right above the chamber in that poster? At first I thought it was to get the sights above the silencer can, but looking closely it still doesn't look like they clear it. Pic is kinda blurry though....

Ya know, i will never understand why Segal was even placed in the movie Executive Decision? I mean, his name was even on the cover as if he was a main charecter.

He barely had a part in the movie. He dies so early on its retarded. And i know this is a gun forum an all, but i wanna see Segal going back to his roots and doing what he does best.

Breaking arms, legs, backs, necks, toes, fingers, faces, ribs, shins, did i leave anything out?

I've never watched Segal for his guns, i've always liked his fighting. His movie Marked for Death was my favorite. Ohh those sounds of elbows breaking were pleasent weren't they? lol

showed his DISRESPECT for the US Senate when he appeard in jeans and some twink chink jacket

Disrespect for the bunch of slime-ball rights-abrogating money-stealing politicians also known as senators? :puke:

Give me a break.

Oh ya, to remain on topic, Seagal's a wife beater? That's lame.

I hear he's not too bad of a guitar picker, either.

I've actually heard Steven Segal play the guitar at a "NAM show" (I think that was what it was called) when I was a kid. It was suppose to be a charity guitar show of some sort, had a silent auction and a other guitarists such as Bonnie Rait play onstage.

I must say, Steven Segal is a pretty fine guitar player.

It's NAMM (National Association of Musical Merchants)

Segal is a pretty good guitarist. And a damn fine shooter. I have seen him do both up close and personal.

I have never seen any proof that he was a wife beater. In fact if someone said that to my face I'd be tempted to say Liar to theirs. But then that wouldn't be taking the high road would it.

But then several times during this thread I had to check the URL to make sure where I was.

If Segal was a wife beater with a record would he be able to pass a NICS check to buy one of those expensive custom .45's?

All we have to go on here is hollywood rumors. Do you believe every negative thing an ex-spouse tells you about their former husband/wife? Do you believe anything you here from those twits in hollywood? If so why do you own those evil nasty guns?

Imagine you were at a table with multiple people sitting across from you who you believed to be armed, BUT those people did not have a reason to kill you (it is hard to extort money from a corpse). In fact they have a vested interest in your walking out of that place alive so you can bring them money.

Would you A: Pull out your gun if you had it and start a gun/kungfu fight?

Would you B: Say whatever they wanted to hear and then go to the cops after you left?

If you answered A you are an idiot. Segal was in that situation and he handled it with intelligence and tact. Then instead of rolling over for the mob like the wimp you imply him to be, he went to the cops like a man. You do realize the mafia still likes to kill people that testify against them don't you?

I'm going to be the Devil's Advocate here. It's possible that Segal was initally charged with Domestic Battery, but his attorney plea bargained it down to Disturbing the Peace. In which case it isn't domestic violence and he can still own firearms. In Idaho (where gunownership is a serious thing indeed) this is a common occurance. I suppose that if I was unethical and didn't mind putting my job at risk (I'm talking as a law enforcement employee here) I could run a criminal history check on Mr. Segal.

Personally I like being a good cop and I have a family to support. So Mr. Segal's background will have to remain one of mystery. Anyway all these rumors add to his "aura" and give him free publicity - after all look at all the postings on this thread.
