XDm 9mm
XD 9mm
CZ p07 Duty

can't decide on one and the price dosen't matter to a point. Have hardtime paying more than 700 for a pistol

here are my issues i have huge hands as in i wear a size 17 wedding band and have to have watch bands custom made cause wy wrists are 11in around

And i don't like glocks because of the grip angle

so am i screwed and just need to stick with the big 45 acp and 45 lc and larger

My suggestion would be the XD-M. It comes with three changeable backstraps and you should be able to find one that fits you better than others. It also has a magazine capacity of 19 rounds of 9x19 ammunition.

I just added one to my collection of XD's, and I'm not disappointed in it all.

Hope this helps.

Fred

As ReloaderFred says, the XDm is unlikely to disappoint. It will adjust to a big hand and the trigger guard is not too close to the trigger for a big or gloved finger. I've no hesitation in recommending the XD series - have both XD/XDm in 9mm and the XD in 45 and they have always been 100% reliable. One point and this probably applies just to me but I'm more accurate with the XD 45 than the 9mm, but the XDm is plenty accurate if you do your bit. I agree with 1911 shooter about the H&K P7 - superb pistol and always in my collection but you may (I just say may) find the grip and squeeze cock action to be just a little awkward with big hands. Hope you find what you're looking for. Best regards, Mike.

I tell you what, I have been shooting for 35 years. I have never felt a gun that feels so good in the hand(XDM). Also, I shot my buddies regular XD in 40. It was one ragged hole at about 21 feet or so. Its a great shooter. I was very impressed. I cant imagine how that darn XDM must shoot!

If you want a striker, get the M, if you want a hammer, get the CZ, if you want a hammer in full size, get a CZ SP-01 Phantom.

Ditto on the CZ SP01. SIG P226 with wood grips might do the trick. H&K USP Expert in 9mm, maybe find a used one. RENT A GLOCK! try to shoot it, "grip angle feel" may not be a real problem when you fire it, its not for me.

I'd reccomend the SP01, for hands that big. The P07 might feel a bit small, but give it a grip.
Actually, I have to say you should lay a grip on the CZ-97, the 45 version, it's made for big hands. Seriously.

Masterof45acp,

I too had the same thoughts a few years ago and have since then satisfied them. Oh of the list you posted, my choice would be the XDM in 9mm.

From time to time, instead of my Wilson Combat Professional, a 4" 1911 in 45acp I carry a Para Usa LTC Lightweight, a 4" 1911 in 9mm.

I carry it in the same holsters as my Professional.

I too love my XD45 Service but the only thing close to carrying instead of it is my Browning Hi Power

Xd sound's nice, i never had any problems with any of mine. Also hk usp is nice I had it for about a year and like it but, the xd is cheaper and seems easier to maintain.

If your look'n at a cz then also check out witness pistols. Most can change from 10mm down to 9mm with all the normal mix between them for and extra 200 buck per conversion kit.All on the same frame.

Browning Hi-Power. Sexiest looking semi-auto made. All steel like your .45, designed by the Master himself, and as reliable as a Glock. A fitting tribute to the classic 1911.

Might want to remove the magazine safety to help the trigger pull, though and maybe add some Pachmayr grips to fill the hand.
