I was wondering what you are going to do if Obama and the Democrats come through with another stimulous package that they are reportedly considering.

I am considering purchasing an SP-101 in the .327 magnum or some other firearm. Hey, I'm just trying to do my part to get the economy up and running again! :D

Wouldn't it be ironic if everyone did the same and it was widely publicized by the libera media? :neener:

I'm with YZR. My last one went mainly to bills. If they do another hand out, I'll be putting at least part of it towards some toys or accessories for the toys.

It should be put towards an "assault weapon" and a bible. :D

Edit to add: I support the financial indstry bailouts, and the auto industry rescue, but to me this seems like a waste of taxpayer money.

Do everything I can (call and write Senators/Congressmen) to stop it. We are broke folks. End of discussion. Any check they send is going to be a draw on our kids future paychecks. Let it all crash, GM, Ford, AIG, Fannie, Freddie the whole damn works. I would rather go through the economic hell now so my kids have a chance to live in a better country. It would be 1930's ugly or worse, but so be it. I don't want their damned rebate!

Yea, my big screen went on the fritz after only 4 years so I went out and bought a flat screen with the last one.

I hope we don't have any further troubles because I would really like to split this one with the wife and let her get something she wants so I can get something I want without dipping into the savings. I figure that way she wouldn't ask me: Do you REALLY need another gun around the house? ;)

Been there, done that, have the souvenir cup...

I've been screaming at .Gov to stop this nonsense since Bear Stearns. The last stimulus paid my Fax bill...

Check out FedUpUSA.org

I protested in DC with them a few times... To no avail. The last bailout opposition was 100+ to 1 and it still passed.

This one... Guns and Ammo... :)

And probably a fax bill or two... Hopeless or not I can't give up on what I believe is right.

That AIG bailout was a joke, they all went to an expensive retreat that week at one of the most expensive resorts.

These guys come in from the Big Three and are EACH flown in on private jet. I wonder what their homes look like and what kind of TOYS THEY own!:scrutiny:

Let's keep handing out money. Then half the people won't have to work.

Yah right, if Obama gives another stimulus package, I don't anticipate getting much. Our family works and pays taxes, we aren't his kind of folk, well sorry, he loves us when it comes to TAKING OUR MONEY, but he's not going to give us squat.

the largest outpouring of public opposition preceded the bail out and they still did it. they sure represent us and care what we say. huh

I tried to vote all new people into office.

I guess that idea flopped.

I'm tired of "professional politicians."

This is where the bailout money should have gone in the first place. I took the amount of bailout money and divided it by the number of taxpayers in this country and it came to just over $10,000 per person. I guarantee you that $10,000 tax free dollars per person, $20,000 per married couple would go considerably further to boosting our economy than to give the bailout money to financial firms that are just going to hoard it and pay their executives multimillion dollar bonuses. Which they have already done. Just think how many foreclosures that would have stopped. But in the spirit of the thread, I think that dollar amount would get a pretty nice Barrett.

Here is a stimulus package I completely agree with. I caught it on CNBC but did not catch the name of the Congressman proposing it. His take was that instead of the Trillions of $ spent on bailouts, declare a moratorium on collection of Federal Income taxes for a period of 6-12 months. He did not make it clear if that included Social Insecurity and Medi-miscare.

Think of it. All the people that are close to foreclosure will be bailed out. And the rest will go to buying cool AR's before the Obomination has a chance to do his dasterly deeds.

Stimulus money is shut up money, bribe money to keep the masses tranquil, while they bail out the seedy felonious big guys. We have no choice but to take it, because all our clammoring won't stop it. But the only stimulating it will do is in my savings account. I'm saving every penny I have now, trying to retire early and get off the silly ferriswheel.

Nachosgrande, But then who would pay for the CEO's bonuses and trips to resorts in their private jets?

Same here. Last one went straight to my ING account. I've probably made a few bucks interest off it already. Same goes for the next one if it comes.

If the threat of taxing ammo and componants into oblivion becomes real, buying more guns, that we may not be able to sell in the future because too expensive to shoot, might ultimately bring heartache and pain. I think better to consolidate calibers and componants for shooting what you have.

I'm part of the sixty percent that pay taxes, so, I'm probably not in the line-up for any handouts. I really don't want a handout, anyway. What I want is for these knuckleheads to stop giving my tax dollars away to poorly run businesses and the crooks on Wall Street. Maybe then my measly little IRA will stop bleeding money.
