Stock Project for Daughters’ Mossberg Plinksters

The things that happen when your daughters start shooting. I started with plain Mossberg baby EBRs then let the girls choose the colors and decorations. Nothing fancy, Krylon Fusion, lots of masking tape, then a lot of clear coat to seal the stickers down. They love them.

I often hear people say they don't like pink or purple or lime green etc. because it make the guns look like toys. I say go for it, respecting the firearm and learning gun safety is the same no matter what color the stock is. I'd do it in a minute if it would get my girls out shooting with me. I keep looking at old .22's at local gun shops to do something similar myself. Nice job, happy shooting.

Also, I noticed that one Plinkster is a bolt action and the other is a semi-auto, was that by their choice?

Sorry, Been off the site for a while (Had the nephew's wedding pix to do and some Concealed Carry classes to teach. Then the real job)

The Kalishnikitty stickers are from (where else?) eBay. Actually all the picture stickers are from eBay. The letters were from WalMart.

They are more excited to shoot since I did these stocks. I started thinking about doing these after my better half bought a red & black Charter Arms .38spl. and seeing several Hello Kitty ARs. They seem to be more approachable to new shooters.

The bolt action is her first gun. At the time I bought it (2 years ago) I wasn't sure about her remembering the semi auto was still loaded and ready after the shot. Now I would get her an autoloader with no concerns. The stocks interchange with a small half circle cut for the bolt handle so when we move her up she can still use the stock.

She tripped over a toy in the basement and bruised the finger bone on the wall. I must be tired, I wondered how you knew her name for a few minutes before I remembered I put it on the stock.
