Storing Guns in a Self Storage Locker

Zombie thread, but still a question that crops up quite often.

"What do I do with my guns when...I get deployed, move into a non-gun-friendly state, hide them from my soon-to-be ex-wife...etc...etc..."

I've seldom seen a response like - renting a safety deposit box at a bank. Some of these boxes are big enough to fit a good half dozen rifles and another half dozen pistols in them. Granted, you'll need to store them in those silicone coated gun socks to save space, but for ~ $300 to $400 a year it is on par with the small 5'x5' self-storage units that you can rent...and a whole lot more secure.

I agree with other and say store them at a friends or family members home if possible. Make sure they are all at least trigger locked as well.

If you do put them in an uncontrolled atmosphere you could always put them in ZCORR Bags which will keep them from rusting for up to 20 years.
