Ever since I got my first S&W M&P, I have been after a threaded barrel for it. I finally got my account setup with Storm Lake and picked up some of their threaded 9mm barrels. I got the barrels threaded in 1/2X28 as this is one of the more common thread pitches for suppressors.

Storm Lake advised me that I would see better groups out of their barrel and I would have to say they are right. The gun is shooting tighter groups.

I am using the AAC Evolution and running 147gr Sub Sonic ammo through it without a hitch. No malfunctions at all. :D

Thanks. The quietest 147gr I have found to date is the Remy Express Subsonics. The Wolf Gold 147 isn't bad either.

That is a very nice set-up. I am envious.

I've got Storm Lake barrels in 3 of my 1911's. I have used Brown, Bar Sto, and still use Kart, Nowlin and KKM in other guns. They are IMO the the equal of ANY barrel manufacturer on the market. There's always a big improvement in accuracy using their bushings and barrels.

They do make them in 40 and also have a conversion for the M&P 40 owners that want to shoot 9mm!

Prices on non threaded M&P barrels run about $127. Threaded models are more money.
