I like the idea of the Dillon Strong Mount. Do you know if it will fit the LNL-AP or is there something else that fills that need? I like that it raises the press more to eye level. Does anyone make an aftermarket case counter?

I run two dillon 550B's but dont use a strong mount so I can't help you there. However I did see a fellow advertising wooden mounts on either Ebay or Gunbroker. Reference "Dillon reloading", those were the key words used when I came across the wooden mount several times. Good luck in your search.

I use the strong mount on my 550 and don't see why it wouldn't work with any press. The mount comes in two pieces, one on each side of the press, push comes to shove you might have to drill new holes to line up with your press. Should work.

I do not know what the size of the base is on a LNL-AP but each side of the 550 strong mount is about 4.5" long and 1" wide where the press mounts.

The strong mount is used because the press is mounted too low relative to the user. It might be simpler sometimes to try a lower chair rather than raise the machine.

I don't think you'd be happy mounting the LNL on a strong mount. The LNL thrust line appears far to be forward of the mount. I'll email photos of the mount set-up I use if you are interested. It's made of laminated particle board or 3/4 inch plywood and allows quick change of different presses and small tools. Mine raises the base height by 10" but could be adjusted accordingly.

Do what I did..............build a tall benchs.
seriously,I think the strong mounts only accomplish raising the press,I don't see what 'larger footprint' has to do with anything..except helping to sell strong mounts.I've gontten along without one for 14 years now.

I have to agree with SASS, it only raises the press and allows one more point of stress and movement. I want the press mounted solidly to the bench for the most secure and solid setup....
