Subcompact 9mm...HELP ME DECIDE!

I'd also consider the Walther P99C. This is the compact version of their very fine service pistol and is just about the size of the Glock 26. It is a more refined version, though, and far more comfortable in the hand. The magazine holds ten rounds, although you can get a sleeve that allows the use of the 15 round full size version's magazine. I have both sizes and think they are really nice pistols.

You also may want to consider the third generation of Smith and Wesson pistols. These are not made anymore I don't think, but I have bought two in the last month and have been really impressed. Available in single or double stack versions, very comfortable to shoot, very flat and easy to conceal, and the single stack 9s hold eight rounds in the magazine. Very +P friendly, also.

And a reminder that the Walther PPS is available with magazines of three different capacities, so don't dismiss that one, either....

I have the springfield in .40 and love it. I totally agree with you about the glock, it didnt fit in my hand well either. With the springfield extended mags there is more than enough grip for anyone. I love my Kahr CW9 because it is lighter and more compact but that is just my opinion.

I've shot the PPS in .40 and aside from being snappy (like I said it was the .40) I really liked it. I think I'd own one already if it wasn't for the mag release. Now if Glock ever makes a compact single stack 9mm all bets are off.

They're all good so whichever speaks the loudest while sitting on top of the counter next to the others. For me it was a two-tone Springfield XD9 SC. Really like it. Yes sirree.

of the guns mentioned i favor the rami and xd. i prefer the rami to the xd in every aspect except the beavertail. if you've never carried a gun with a beavertail you may want to holster one and sit in different positions to make sure it doesn't dig into you. if you carry between 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock though it wouldn't be an issue at all. someone mentioned the rami having feeding problems, when that occurs it's a pre-break in type thing from close tolerances not being worn yet, where the bottom of the slide right below the breech face will brush against the next round in the chamber pushing it forward in the magazine. this is rare, but if it is present the bottom of the slide below the breech face can be polished, or the magazine lips can be slightly pushed in/down.

someone mentioned the p-01 as a good carry gun, i agree, and it is my carry gun, but it's significantly bigger and heavier than any typical polymer subcompact.

this may be something a little bigger than a subcompact, but i just gift my self a SW sigma .40, and it's about the same size as a Glock 19. great gun i highly recommend it.

forgot to bring this up... someone mentioned only the glock being able to use a 32 round magazine, but the cz 75 and 85 series can use the 26 or 32 round magazine made for cz 75 full auto. :D

edit: compatible with all 75/85 with the exception of the tactical sport.
