I'd also consider the Walther P99C. This is the compact version of their very fine service pistol and is just about the size of the Glock 26. It is a more refined version, though, and far more comfortable in the hand. The magazine holds ten rounds, although you can get a sleeve that allows the use of the 15 round full size version's magazine. I have both sizes and think they are really nice pistols.
You also may want to consider the third generation of Smith and Wesson pistols. These are not made anymore I don't think, but I have bought two in the last month and have been really impressed. Available in single or double stack versions, very comfortable to shoot, very flat and easy to conceal, and the single stack 9s hold eight rounds in the magazine. Very +P friendly, also.
And a reminder that the Walther PPS is available with magazines of three different capacities, so don't dismiss that one, either....
