Okay, so I've been searching quite a bit, and I can't figure out anything about a subsonic .458 socom round. I'd rather find a factory round, but what about reloading some?? Has anybody had any experience with reloading this round?? Especially as a subsonic??

Thanks

I have loaded subsonic 458 socom with 405g JSP and 500 grain cast and coated. With HS-6, HS-7 and 2400 powders.

I've never loaded this round, but considered buying a gun in that caliber.

Only suitable load I can find is 26 grains of IMR 4198. This was with a 500gr Hornady RN with a CCI 350 primer. OAL is 2.24"

This is right on the edge of subsonic. May want to reduce a bit more.

The 500 to 600 grain bullet loads were the ones intended to be subsonic.
