Success of the new M&P Shield..

If I ever buy small single stack pistol it will be second-hand (sadly) S&W4040 or S&W CS45. For pocket use I would except nothing but the R9.

As to #7, the sliding sleeve on the extended magazine - I slid mine up a little, put a drop of Gorilla glue on the flat side of the mag body, spread it a little with a toothpick, and slid the sleeve back down over it. Left it like that for a day to dry and no problems since. It was easy, and since I already had the glue, cost me nothing. If it comes loose I'll just glue it again.

The issue may be a little short sighted on the part of S&W but certainly not a deal breaker in my book. It's not near as big a deal as the grip safety on the Kimber I once had that didn't work.

Gorilla glue... You may never get the sleeve off! ;)

I used a narrow strip of good ol' duct tape. Provides just enough friction.

Shoot more, talk less...

I think the demand alone says a lot about the positives of this gun. This is maybe the best "all purpose" gun I own. Mine has only about 500 rounds downrange but not any issues with any handload or commercial ammo. I did add an Apex sear for $40 which took all of ten minutes to put in. It lightened the trigger pull to just under 6#. It shoots as well as any of my full size guns. My only complaint is I would love to see more sight options available. I am sure they are being manufactured as I write this.
