When I use to trade in penny stocks I would equate items bought with how
much stock I could have bought.....
.....I still never regretted buying a firearm.
I have sold or not bought many things, skipped the movies or going out to eat,
and even worked large amounts of OT or picked up a second job
so I
would have the money to buy the firearm of my choice.
I have never sold a firearm to to go to the movies, take a date out to eat,
buy a round of drinks, or some new duds. Thats all temporary stuff. I have
boots that are 12 years old and I expect another 12 years out of them, my
duster is about 10 and still keeps me dry and my truck is a 98 (the 87 died on
me and the 77, well... thats a long story). No "need" for "new" stuff.
edit: Firearms are not stuff.
I expect things to last and really do not understand why people buy items
that have such a short life to them or always have to get the newest flavor.
Heck my laptop is 7 or 8 years old. My old Startack phone lasted around 6
years before it gave up the ghost and I was mad about that.
Everything is disposable these days ... people change jobs, partners, cars,
and beliefs like they change their socks.
Wow.... what a rant
I get a little cheesed at this Dixi cup world at times.
People can buy whatever they want... just so long as they are not spending
my money.
I do have to add that I have in the past spent money on diamonds :banghead:
for a girl... I'm still trying to figure out why.
