Alternatively, you could get a .454 Casull with the intention of shooting .45 colt. That may give you the Taurus Raging Bull and Ruger Alaskan (and maybe a few others) as additional options, depending on where you are and what you want it for (some states have barrel length restrictions for hunting).

If looking to buy new, the Smith & Wesson Model 25 is available as one of their "Classics" series in either blue or nickel with a 6 1/2" barrel and full-size, square walnut grips. Not exactly a CCW candidate, but a beautiful gun that would get the job done to be sure. Full list is over $1,000 for blue and over $1,100 for nickel, but Bud's Gun Shop offers them both, delivered, in the high $700s.
