It gets hot here so I like to travel lightly. I usually have the P3AT except when I feel like something different. So, every now and then, I'll carry the little ol' 7-round, DA .22 (below,) loaded with Aguila Supermaximums. It's a decent shooter for only $89.00.

The size of my pistols don't change during warmer weather. I just have to put more thought in what I wear to cover them. But if I'm forced to go T-shirt only and shorts I carry my Kel Tec PF-9

All holsters are either Desantis or Don Hume pancake open tops.

Same as it is during the other seasons. Most of the time it's one or another of my S&W J-frames.

Sure, there are some situations and circumstances which sometimes prompt me to carry one of my larger 9/.40/.45 pistols, but the significant amount of the time it's become a J-frame.

That means I shoot them fairly frequently, too. Just the other day one of the other instructors watching me practice with one of my J-frames made the comment that he's always seeing me practicing with one of my J-frames. Why not?

Handy little guns.

Granted, just the other day I was carrying a 5" 1911 and a J-frame, but that's unusual for me nowadays, especially since I'm retired.

When I ride my motorcycle over the hill to the Coastal towns in the summer months I like to be able to remove my riding jacket and walk around in a T-shirt.

Ditto being comfortable while sitting in a leather chairs at a cigar lounge.

Summer Carry

Although mine has an Insight UTL instead of the M6X. Carried in a blade-tech holster.

I just wear a short sleeve button shirt to conceal it. It's a big handgun, but with the UTL and the holster, it doesn't print in any recognizable manner.

M&P 9mm, just like I carry during the winter.

In between holsters, though. I needed a holster that was suitable for summer concealment. No pictures yet, but it looks like any other fullsize, stock M&P.

I'll post a picture of the holster and mag carrier soon as it gets here.
