I practice as often as I can to keep my shooting sharp, my familiarity up, and my ammo fresh.
I did a little something different this time. I shot all my main ccw guns.
10yds
Two hands
One shot each.,(except the .380, the first wasn't quite centered).

Entry holes....

I don't claim any scientific Ballistics or stopping power facts.
I will say the .380 created the smallest hole, and then the 9mm, the .357 and .45acp were about equal.
The lcp is so small and easily concealed, but poor sights.
The sr9c 9mm is high capacity, compact, and quick to recover.
The sp101 is heavy, 5shot, poor sights, loud, but potent and simple.
The 3.5" 1911 is heavy 7+1, good sights, makes big holes.

My little lcp is my edc.
The sr9c is my nightstand gun.
The sp101 is what Mrs armored (rarely) shoots.
The 1911 compact is my heavy hitter ccw for road trips and overnighters into unknown territory.

How do your ccw compare?

I don't own a handgun in anything that starts with less than 4. I love the 1911 and my RIA Compact is sufficiently concealable and hits hard. I carry one of several 45 LC open in woods and such. My concession to modernity is an M&P 40 full size. I like. Just can't understand sub 40s. Happily for America, my views are widely ignored. ;-)

I CC an XDs in 45, an SP101, and an HK P30SK depending on whether. All fave different roles and do the job nicely.

Nice shooting man.

I was like you, I only had single action revolvers. Then I got a double action. Then I picked up a used 1911 just to see what all the hype was about. Then I got the the lcp because it was light and pocketable. Then I got the 9mm because my son was going to trade it off and I knew it was an excellent shooter.
Despite being an old cowboy at heart....guess what??...
I like 'em all!

I'm carrying a government size 1911 IWB and a PM9 in pocket, well armed against summer squash. :D

Well, I reckon I'm just the opposite, I've been through DA revolvers, never owned a M1911 but did shoot them when I was in the Army. Closest I ever came to a M1911 was a Colt Gold Cup in .45 ACP. But in my advanced years have gone almost exclusively to the Single Action revolver. Still have a couple, or more, Smiths, but they sort of sit bqack in the corner. Prefer those Single Actions!

Cool you found a use for zucchini Since my CC guns are an LCP and G23 and woods guns are.45 I think I'll survive the squash uprising.

My preferred test medium is pumpkin but I see similar results to yours.

Mine compare bout the same. Glock 17/17L are my main CCW, occasionally I'll carry a Springfield Range Officer (4" or 5" 9mm) or my wife's Ruger SR-9C, but I don't carry the Astra A-100 9mm anymore cus it has lots of rounds through it and parts are scarce. I prefer pumpkins or melons for pistols, and cabbage for rifles. Super fun and the kids love it too.

P.S. Don't forget potatoes.

Armored that takes me back to when i was farming, alway liked to blow the squash and melons up just to fed the chickens or hogs. And of course keep my eye well practised. Remember one rooster that (flew) hit me in the back of my knee as i was walking..... knocked me down.... The single six took his head shortly thereafter and he went on to kitchen service and i never did see that rooster again. Nice shooting and great lifestyle... all the best dirt

Yeah, Mrs armored said she would like to have some chickens.
I said absolutely not, this is a grain farm.....no chickens....
.....so anyway, as soon as I got the chicken coop built, we got eight chickens.

My poor bird dog gets very nervous.

I will stick to my little Colt Commander in 38 Super. While it won't "let in a lot of air and let out a lot of blood" like those that start with "4" I am familiar enough with it's operation I can almost shoot it in my sleep.

I am going to have to buy some zucchini.

Why? Go to Rensselaer Indiana and park in front of the courthouse with your doors unlocked. You will have the back seat full of Zucchini, tomatoes and other veggies the city farmers thought just two plants weren't enough.

This infestation of "zom-bi-cchinis" is scary! I'm glad you've got the jump on them. If they move into mid-Tenn....I'll help! Looks fun!

Yes golden comets.....that's correct.
Between the chickens and my shooting addiction, we are keeping tp the squash apocalypse from reaching Tennessee.
...at least for now......
But you should prepare yourself.
