DMK, any word on your other 1K, or did gunzrfunz get it instead?

Why, whatever do you mean? My order was filled in a timely and professional manner. By the way, that ball ammo isn't "smokey" as Tyro mentioned. I'm thinking of ordering some more since I got such a good deal last time. :neener:

gunz - If you have not contacted the company and told them that they doubled the quantity from what you ordered, thats theft. Plain and simple.

Better yet, I contacted JG on your behalf and pointed them to this thread.

UPS (or should I say Oops), dropped it off today. Maybe the guy was tired yesterday and only felt like humping one heavy box of ammo a day. ;) I'd lost more than gunzrfunz got altogether, so there was no way it was at his house. :p

shipping

By chance, can you tell me how much they charged for Shipping. Or tell me on their website what the shipping would be. Thx... Mike....

Well, Mike, I can tell you that shipping to me from wherever their plant is was around $20 for 500rnds. Hope this helps.

Actually, it isn't.
Odd as it may seem, it was the shipper's mistake.

They may have a right to claim the product, though they will then be liable for packaging and return shipping costs.
If anyone cares I'll find out more.

Thx funz. They are out of Arizona, although they could be doing drop shipping from a different location. If they did ship from Arizona, and you are in Penn, then that's about as expensive as it could be. Thx... Mike....

Received this by PM from gunz also... I gotta tell ya, you're a fine example of what "The High Road" means. Don't be a slimeball and try to screw over a fine company who is doing a lot for the preservation of the 2nd Amendment by "failing to report" a 100% margin of error in a shipment. I can agree that it may be minimal stretch to call it pure theft, but at the very least it's immoral. So you go have your little childish "parade" on someone else's dime. If you would at least make the tiny effort of reporting it to them, I'm sure they would be happy to pay the return shipping. I never said you had or should pay a nickel for the mistake.

Umm, sorry, no..it's not. The lack of quality control in their shipping dept is the problem, not me benefitting from it. I didn't drive up and take anything from their shipping dock, that is theft. Do you really think I should spend an extra 20something dollars to ship them their mistake?
You, on the other hand, contacting them to try to piss on someones' parade, is being a total jagoff. Plain and simple.
Mind your own ****ing business, ****head. Just because they f'd up, doesn't make me a thief, *******! And I don't appreciate being called such in a public forum, ****head.

And gunz, wash your mouth out with soap before you ever think about trying to talk to me like that again.

asknight: I won't get into the issue of whether it's morally or legally wrong to keep an over shipment or not. I can't throw the first stone. That is definitely for sure. Anyway, that's between you all.

But, I have been doing the internet and forums since way before "Al Gore" invented the internet. I've been doing back when the military and universities started networks to link organizations. Ever since that time, where there was a means of sending information back and forth among individuals, there has ALWAYS been one constant that unofficially all users tend to agree upon. What is said in a "FORUM" is public. What is said in an "email or PM" is private. You should totally keep whatever he PM's you to yourself. If you think it is harmful to you in some way, then you should bring it up to a moderator.

Not trying to be a piss-ant, and not supporting anyone on the position. But bringing a PM to the open forum is just not proper etiquette. Granted, there are a lot of people on the internet who have many different opinions. Some will say it's OK and some will say it's not. I don't care if it's legal or not. It is a common courtesy and acceptance among users that PMs and emails are private. I may not have been on computers and networks the longest of all the people who visit this forum, but I would say I am pretty damn close. (Not revealing my age). That is the common accepted practice. Anyway, just wanted to bring that up in case the two of you want to continue on with a private debate about the over shipment. Say whatever you want in public. If it's emails and PM's, that should stay between the two of you. Unless you want to get a moderator involved. Later... Mike....

Pathetic..

I stand by my comments, public and private. It's obvious to all I was correct in calling the kettle black, as evidence above. Her heiness thinks she is here to preach "morals" to us sinners. maybe it's just someone, like I said, trying to wee-wee on someone elses' parade. I believe the latter to be true, as do most others since no one else is backing her heiness. Perhaps that feminine itch is a bit too much for her this month and she wishes to pass around her misery.

I bring the rude and vulgar PMs to the thread so that folks, and mods, can see how this member is acting in accordance with the idea of The High Road.

Here's the latest message he's sent. Note that have not sent him a single PM.
Pathetic puke
Now I'm a "slimeball"? Eat ****, *******. Keep your ****ing comments to yourself, dick. And mind your own business when it comes to me, bitch.Got it?

Yes, not notifying a company that makes a mistake of sending 100% more than you order is slimy, especially a company with such a strong record of defending the RKBA as JG Sales.

You see, it's only right that I would spend my time packing up someone else's mistake, driving it to the P.O. and shipping it out on my time and gas.

I never said, or alluded to such. I said that I'm sure JG would be happy to pay return shipping for their mistake. Please review basic elementary level reading comprehension. I'm done with this thread. If I receive any more PMs of the nature of the two already received, the mods will be notified.

It's funny..

We got princess here talking about ppl "acting in accordance with the idea of The High Road" and yet she does what she does.
Anyone remember the old Dennin the Menace show? I am picturing Martha over there shaking her finger at me, trying to lecture her right/wrong.:D
Now cowar away, Martha, we don't need to hear your idiotic remarks anymore.:neener:

It is reloadable but has crimped primers.
Well, I was going to post a caution about my experience reloading .38 Special milsurp brass, but this thread seems to have degenerated into a playground name-calling p*ssing contest, so I don't want to waste any more time posting to it.
If anybody is interested, start a new thread.

This thread needs to be closed.

Return to Edit:

Actually, no. It should not be closed.

Perhaps someone needs to be uninvited from THR.

After all, personal attacks are a violation.

nobody should be banned over an small argument or dissagreement. We want the right to bear arms but want free speech censored. People disagree and argue. Online and offline. As long as it doesnt become a persistant immature forum "feud" that disrupts the purpose of these boards, i think we just need to just mind our own business and keep the discussion moving on.

It was a couple of posts, its done... now back to the subject at hand?

Gentlemen, please take it outside and stop peeing all over my thread.

Well, I was going to post a caution about my experience reloading .38 Special milsurp brass
deadin, what was your caution?

I'm not convinced that the match ammo is technically milsurp. Well, not issue ammo anyway. It was probably used for competition. I doubt that it has crimped primers.

I ordered 1,500 rounds of the ball ammo, thanks for pointing this to my attention DMK!

Well, I was going to post a caution about my experience reloading .38 Special milsurp brass,

Yes, please do share your experience with reloading this stuff. There is no doubt that this is a good deal, but I'm at the point where any new ammo I buy really needs to be reloadable. And preferably reloadable without having to do any tricks or hold my tongue just right to make a quality round.

Thanks

Sorry about that…… When a thread degenerates into name-calling, etc., I tend to just walk away as it not being worth my time to continue to follow it.

Anyway… I wasn’t concerned with the Match ammo. It’s the M41 Ball that might give you problems reloading. I’ve found that some (and I emphasize “some”) milsurp .38 Spl cases are made to a heavier standard than the commercial stuff. The outcome with this can be that when reloading with 148 gr WC that are deep seated in the case, the thicker case walls can expand to where the case will not chamber in a standard tight charge hole in the cylinder. I’ve had this happen with both a S&W M14 and a Colt Officers Target
I have only observed this with full wad cutters and some milsurp cases. (But, then again, I don’t reload any .38 Spl. other than WC.)
My advise is that you first load a ½ dozen or so and try them in whatever gun you plan on shooting them in before loading any more. Trust me, when those wad cutters are deep seated and tight, you can’t pull them down with a kinetic puller. I’ve got a couple of boxes of them stashed somewhere but can’t currently lay my hands on them to check headstamps.
I discovered this one night after I had just loaded up a couple of hundred rounds the day before and then couldn’t get them to chamber at the match. :cuss:

Really good baseball game on TV guys.Everybody take a leak and a deep breath and call it a night.Tomorrow's a better day. Thanks for the really cool hats and shirts and get a good night's sleep and we'll all talk tomorrow about how much better Smith & Wessons are than Rugers and and "all that jazz*. Peace out...:)
