I need to put a new decapping pin into my Lee .45acp sizing/decapping die.
Besides a lot of force, is there a particular trick for removing the old pin from the die?

Thank you.

You could have just loosened the little nut on the top.

A 3/4 open end wrench to hold the die and a 1/2 box end to loosen up the nut and it will fall out.

You will have to loosen the nut to put the other one in.

ohhhhhhhhhh,,, I cringed when you said a mallet. I thought you beat it out. LOL!!!

Sometimes they can get a bit stubbern to get loose. Glad that you got it out and hope you don't bend or break another one.

They are hard to break if put in correctly because they will slid up before breaking. I like the way they are made and use them for 40 S&W.

I just did this for the first time on my new Turret press. The 1/2 and 3/4 wrench with opposing force did the trick.
